The Central Corridor Anchor Partnership grew out of a Living Cities symposium and local leadership from the McKnight Foundation and the Central Corridor Funders Collaborative.  

The partners include:

  • Augsburg University

  • M Health Fairview

  • Hennepin Healthcare

  • Metropolitan State University

  • Minneapolis College

  • Regions Hospital/HealthPartners

  • St. Catherine University

  • University of St. Thomas / Dougherty Family College

Each Anchor Partner is invested in our physical infrastructure to serve patients, students, and employees along the Central Corridor. We use the term “anchor” to indicate the important role each partner plays in our local economies and to describe how each partner is anchored to the health, vitality, and growth of the neighborhoods around us.

The Anchor Partner capacity comprises 19 zip codes, 60,000 employees, and 112,000 students with $2.5 billion in annual spending.

Each anchor partner has committed its CEO, president, or authorized senior executive representative to participate in quarterly Partnership meetings to provide policy guidance and strategic direction; senior staff participation in work groups to shape and implement our initiatives; and financial support. 

Augsburg President Paul Pribbenow serves as the Chair of the Partnership.  Counsel and management support is provided by Smith Partners PLLP and Ellen Watters Consulting. 

We focus our work geographically within the zip codes along or near the Green Line.
